On March 1st, the Royal Palace of Caserta invites everyone to a special afternoon, inspired by the sumptuous carnival celebrations of the Bourbon court, the Grand Carnival Ball . The event, organized in collaboration with the Cultural Association Società di Danza Napoli e Caserta , will take place in the majestic Upper Vestibule of the Royal Palace of Caserta .
Dancers in 19th-century costumes will revive the elegance and splendor of the era , performing traditional dances accompanied by period music. Among the pieces on the program are the first Spanish waltz by Eduard Strauss , the contraddanza Cinderella , the waltzes Waltz Country Dance and Flammen , and the final Galop to music by Michael Halasz . An experience that will transport visitors to an atmosphere rich in history and charm.
Carnival at the Royal Palace: Relive the Bourbon Splendour
Carnival was one of the most anticipated moments of the year at the Royal Palace of Caserta . Inside the Royal Palace, sumptuous masked balls were held, while outside the city came alive with parades and popular games. An atmosphere so magical that the Bourbons chose the days of Carnival to inaugurate the Court Theatre in 1769 , on the occasion of the visit of Queen Maria Carolina, wife of Ferdinand IV.
The appointment is for March 1st, starting at 4pm . Participation is included in the cost of the entrance ticket to the Museum. From 5 pm, access to the Unesco site will be available at the special price of 5 euros .
